be something. if you want to make something sent me directly from the pages to my work station to knock out my next big thing.  there was no stopping and no taking the exit ramp. it was straight racing fuel to get accelorate me through my next project.

be something. if you want to make something not only kickstarted my creative engine, but it set me on a new trajectory to lead my team by being the designer, leader, and person that I was created to be. listen to kenT - he knows – and lives – what he’s talking about.

you want to be an artist? the untortured kind? then you might  want to sit + read + listen to kenT youngstrom’s startling advice about what it takes to be . . . an artist. and then get off your duff and do it! I chatted with kenT when he was starting out and selling just a couple of paintings a year. now, a few years later he’s shipping them out by the truck load. but it’s not just about the sale. it’s about the lifestyle. the freedom. the excitement. and how to make it all work for you - right now.

inside the whimsical universe of creativity i believe there is an unknown language that can only be successfully translated by the chosen few whom have an innate ability to take what seems to be complicated and alchemically make it simple.  there needs to be the ability to understand perspective and context while undermining the complexities of the source. kent is that guy!

i have taken several classes from kent and plan to take many more! a painting class is something I always wanted to do. when the wine and design places started popping up i was so excited..... until i found out everyone painted the same painting in those. akenT's class is anything but. he takes it to a whole other level. i had a blast with girlfriends, painted some crazy paintings, may have had a glass of wine, and definitely made new friends. i even learned several things to improve my very amateur paintings. it is a MUST do!

we were at kenT's studio last year for an open studio paint night. had such a great time we are taking a big group back this weekend. kent is so laid back in letting you control what you paint while giving advice and tips throughout the time you're there.

it’s rare to find unique thoughts and creative motivation in my business.  kenT youngstrom makes my team feel cool, keeps my patients in awe, and encourages my soul to express my own art form 24/7.  he knows how to fragment the norm and push us to all be better artists and better people.  from his team building, to his canvases, to his hard art, to just his mere presence, he brings fresh and current to a new level.

kent is the easiest person to collaborate with... in the history of ever.

he's like: "send me some cool words that i can put on my paintings." i'm like: "ok. here you go." he's like: "look, i made some amazing art." the end. brief. beautiful. perfection.

if you have an opportunity to collaborate with kent, you should. he's a total pro & damn talented, too.

kenT immediately, with both feet in and without hesitation, made himself a part of our team. his input, excitement, willingness, generosity, awareness and creativity was unparalleled and unexpected. he instantly ingratiated himself to the team and to me, personally, from the very first moment I met him. we love kenT!

working with kenT is badass on many levels.   he's an artist with layers, so i get to approach a project with greater expectations, knowing what i conceptualize will be surpassed.

chris rinkert

owner, luna's at the lake boutique

kenT's art captivates you the moment you see it.  his vision to create the mood and feeling desired by his clients in their space is is quite compelling.  he is one of the kindest, most professional people i have ever had the privilege of working with.

refreshed. relaxed. focused. free. all at once. that's how it feels to brainstorm an idea or project with kenT. we love everything he does!

jenn snyder

author - don't change the channel

kenT is the most creative mind i have ever worked with.  he always discovers a way to look at something or someone with an artistic eye that can't be beat.

kenT is unquestionably the smartest, most talented person i know who has an acute inability to spell some of webster's most common words, to include; strangely enough his wife's first name.  he is the quintessential artist - blue hair, big ideas, slightly frazzled, missing car keys, works odd hours, plays odd hours, talks to imaginary friends, stores lightning in a bottle.

shelly takats hutchins

owner emerson joseph men's grooming lounge

kenT leaves nothing on the table.  without a doubt, he is the collaborator i would choose to work with again - and have.  he makes each experience uniquely artistic, new & creative, and always entertaining.
